Public Symphony is the work of two talented musicians, lyricist and instrumentalist Dobs Vye and producer engineer James Reynolds. This self-titled album takes the listener on a musical and lyrical voyage with chill-out, funk and rock influences. 'I wanted to make something that inspired people" says Dobs Vye. 'It took about three years to develop. James and I wrote for about a year, produced the tracks in his studio and working one day and one evening a week on it. We got to the point where we wanted to mix it and realised this would have cost thousand of pounds to get the guy we wanted, so we decided we'd mix it ourselves and we did the same for remastering'. |
PUBLIC SYMPHONY
Wings - Stronger - Breakthrough - Touch - Rise and shine - Children of the heatwave - White dove - I do - Anything is possible - Fill your sails - Epilogue
Imagine Coldplay, Pink Floyd and Massive Attack at a party gatecrashed by Ian Brown, and you'll be getting the plot. There are a few albums around now that may vie for 'Best Of 2006' This is up there with the best of them. I'm afraid we don't offer six star ratings but, my goodness, this one is nudging it and then some. Tremendous.
